My journey, profoundly influenced by my upbringing in Haiti within a family of healers, shamans, herbalists, and midwives, has shaped my unique approach to healthcare. My diverse medical background, enriched by my education at leading universities in Haiti, Mexico, Jamaica, and the U.S., has equipped me to adapt my healthcare approach to meet the needs of a wide range of patients. I understand each patient’s unique circumstances and am dedicated to providing the highest quality care.
My healthcare philosophy is rooted in the belief that true health encompasses complete physical, mental, spiritual, and social well-being. Each patient is uniquely shaped by complex behavioral, biological, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and environmental influences. Acute emotional trauma, compounded by chronic stress, underlies over eighty percent of abnormal lab results, symptoms, medical consultations, chronic illnesses, hospital admissions, surgical procedures, and even deaths. True healing involves identifying and addressing the root cause. With this approach, we can provide evidence-based quality care, essential support, and lifestyle interventions that are sustainable, personalized, and culturally responsive, ultimately avoiding unnecessary testing and interventions, reducing suffering, saving costs, and enhancing quality of life.
Over two decades ago, I suffered severe burnout and learned how to reinvent myself successfully. I created the Dr. Carolle’s Healing Sanctuary of San Diego, a beautiful botanical garden where those who are ready can spend exclusive time healing and just BE. I use a highly focused and transformational three-step process for each encounter.
For years, I have traveled to my beloved Haiti, providing obstetrical and gynecological care along with various public health initiatives. After the devastating 2010 earthquake, which claimed over 300,000 lives, I sought ways to support survivors, first responders, clergy, and medical staff in coping with the overwhelming trauma. To meet this need, I developed two techniques: the BMAT Method (Breathing, Mind-Centering, Affirmation, and Tapping), which offers rapid anxiety relief by quickly activating the relaxation response, and the Murat Emotional Trauma Release Technique (METRT), designed to release trapped negative energy associated with traumatic memories. Through an “energetic alignment” process, METRT allows the individual and me to synchronize, enabling the person to recall traumatic events without triggering adverse emotional reactions, providing both instant and lasting relief.
These methods have provided instant and long-lasting relief to thousands suffering from emotional distress, especially those who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events and face daily exposure to death and trauma in their professions, helping to prevent long-term burnout and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This group includes individuals, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, physicians, nurses, teachers, and clergy.
Whether it’s supporting a survivor who lost a loved one in a traumatic event or helping a professional in a high-stress role, my focus is on resolving both emotional and physical health challenges.
Today, I aim to help individuals, healthcare professionals, and first responders in high-stress environments effectively manage stress and trauma, prevent burnout, build resilience, and thrive in their careers and personal lives.
I seek to collaborate with organizations to integrate my methods into wellness programs, fostering healthier, more resilient professionals who can enhance their own well-being while serving others.
