Voodoo In My Blood

My Memoirs Voodoo In My Blood: A Healer’s Journey From Surgeon to Shaman is finally done. I held it in my hands 25 years after I started it at the insistence of my patients who wanted to learn more about my past.

It is now available to you, raw and complete. I still weep when I read it, my tears sweetened by the knowing that others have also lived lives as intense as mine, themselves harboring secrets that keep them from living fully.

It is my fervent hope that it will let your truths out and let them shine, and be encouraged to do as my publisher Bettie Youngs says, “live close to the bone” or do, as my friend Christiane Northrup, MD author of the New York Timesbestsellers Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom, and The Wisdom of Menopause says in her front cover quote, “This fascinating memoir sheds light on the importance of asking yourself, ‘Have I created for myself the life I’ve meant to live?”

In her back cover quote, my friend Dr. Marcia Hootman, contributing writer for the Chopra Center for Well-Being says: ”A fascinating read and personal insight into the world of shamans and other spiritual healers. It’s no wonder, Dr. Carolle is such an insightful, intuitive healer. The exquisite gift is in her DNA.”

Because my life has come at a cost, this story melts my heart, I pray it will yours too, and that in reading it, your heart will grow the desire to live ONLY the life you were meant to live. It is also my hope that this is what you want for every living soul on earth.
