Why Get a Surgical Second Opinion?

It is considered wise to ask someone - with relevant expertise - for a second opinion, when you have been told that you need to undergo a surgical procedure. Since you can decide how much time you want to spend with me, in the end, you will be confident that you'll choose what is best for you.

You will also be given ample time to discuss your feelings and make sure that you understand all possible alternatives. In the end, YOU make the final, INFORMED decision that will suit you best. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your action plan that will give you the best results from your choice.

During the session, we will:

• Go over the questionnaire you completed;
• Ensure that you understand the pros and cons of what has been offered to you. When you have a clear picture of what you want, it will be easier to work with your other health care providers;
• Develop clear action steps that will get you desired results;
• Have a list of recommendations for your care.
